I have proud that I belong to this land of kaleidoscopic cultural heritages.Right from the Vedic ages our beloved Bihar is used as a laboratory for multiferrious experiments with excellance. The enlightened civilisation cultivated and flourished in this very land,no doubt. BIHAR is named after Bodh VIHAR.
The Rigvedic Rishi Vishvamitra experienced the charm of his popular "Gayatri Mantra" as a richa of the Rigveda in Bihar, I mean the Geographical region of present Bihar. So many vedic Rishis performed their penance in Bihari land,viz. ATRI,APAALA,GHOSHA,DUTTATREYA, SOM, MAITREYEE , MUDRALOPA etc. among them many were women.
In Ramayan age the eminent Munies like Valmiki,Goutam,Vashishttha,Narad, Bhargava,Yagyavalkya, Ashtavakra, Nemi, Sutikshna, Marich, etc had their Ashram here. The demon lady TARAKA was assassinated in Buxar, then known as VYAGHRASAR and mahasati AHILYA,wife of GOUTAM was rescued by LORD RAMA in BUXAR also. There are so many places related to RAMAYANA in Bihar like Buxar,Munger, Bhagalpur , Vaishali etc.
In Mahabharat the kingdom of Daanveer KARNA was called ANGA,which is now Bhagalpur. The Sumeru parvat used in SAMUDRA MANTHAN is still in Anga pradesh.
Out of three ancient Univarsities,Two namely NALANDA and VIKRAMSHILA were in Bihar itself. The most remarkable fact of VIKRAMSHILA VISHVAVIDYALAYA is that, it was the only college of TANTRA MANTRA. The students were bound to learn the art of WITCHERY there. I doubt, the very concept of novel series of Harry Potter are fully inspired from VIKRAMSHILA VISHVAVIDYALAYA.All the teachers there were worldknown TANTRIC or AUGHARS of their age.
The famous ancient chikitsak like Jeevak, Sushrut and Charak have their Hospital/Chikitsalaya in Bihar. Charak was the first Surgeon of world. Jeevak had a chance to provide medical treatment to Lord Budha.
Gautam Budh,Mahavir jain Guru Teg Bahadur,Guru Govind Singh onced belonged to Bihar. MANER SHERIF was foremost iSLAMIC CENTRE in India. WAHAVIS ACTIVATED themselves in Bihar. Mother Teressa started her social service from Bihar.
Once the MAGADH EMPIRE ruled over the world ,whether by violence or by non-violence.The first REPUBLIC Was established in Vaishali(Bihar). The experiments with astrology, Astronomy and mathematics were done by Aryabhatta of Bihar, who gave the world "0"(zero) and also proved that the earth moves round the sun. AADI SHANKARACHARYA had to come to Bihar to conquer over Mandan Mishra and Bhashmati to propagate his religious thoughts.
The concept of WELFARE STATE was first championed by the great ASHOKA and reinovated by SHERSHAH SOORI. Sirajudaullah was declred Nawab of Bengal in Patna. The two eminent Mughal kings , including Shah Alam , were enthronned/ coronated in Patna,where lived the elder sister of Begum Mumtaz Mehal, the beloved queen of Shahjehan.
Mir Qasim revolted against East India Company and was defeated in Bihar,consequently came the Britih rule in India.The first battle of independence was widely fought in Bihar and first time in India Md. Haider Ali of Rajgrih ousted the Britishers and declared himself the administrator of Rajgrih for a month or so.
The first bomb explosion was done against the British Empire in 1908 AD by Khudiram Bose and Prafulla Chaki. The first non - violence movement was started by Gandhijee in 1917 from Champaran(Bihar).
In India , the first male medical doctor,Dr.Vidhan Chandra Roy and The first lady doctor,Dr.(Mrs.) Kadambini Ganguly belonged to Bihar. She was also the first Graduate lady of India. The first President of India was Dr. Rajendra Prasad of Bihar. The first total revolution in independent India, lead by Jay Prakash Narayan was started in Bihar.
Today in the every corner of world and in every faculty of profession the Biharies are almost leading the destiny causing envoy amongst rivals.That is why the Biharies are being opposed by non-Biharies in other states.
The time has come to proceed ahead to develop our Bihar and proove our mighty conviction.
